One piece 5 ways

A plaid shirt something you can wear so many ways. Knowing this, it is still easy to get caught wearing one the same way every single time you wear it. Here are 5 ways to wear a plaid shirt (or any style button down shirt) , one for everyday of the school week (even though I would not recommend wearing it everyday).

Monday:

On Mondays sometimes you just need a really comfortable outfit. By wear a plaid shirt buttoned up it looks like you are putting in effort to look nice, but in reality you are wearing a easy, pajama like outfit. The scarf and the boots just add a little nicer touch.

Tuesday:

Adding a plaid shirt around the waist of a dress does many things. First it cinches the waist making it look like one has a narrower waist. Secondly, it dresses down the outfit, making it more school appropriate. This would be able to be done with any solid colored dress, but you would have to be careful of pairing it with a patterned dress so it wouldn't clash.

Wednesday:

This is probably my favorite outfit out of all of these. This one is the most preppy one. It is super easy to wear and there are so many ways that you can make it look different every time. You could add  a necklace, change the sweater, or add boots. This outfit by itself could be changed into 5 new ones.

Thursday:

Throwing a plaid shirt over a graphic tee is probably the oldest style in the book, and for good reason. It is really relaxed and it can add an edgy vibe to change up your style. I will be honest and say that I have never worn anything like this before, but I think I will start looking into finding a cute graphic tee for myself (this one is my sisters).

Friday:

This picture is a little messy, but isn't that how Fridays are anyway? This outfit is great for any day because you can easily just throw it on, and it looks super relaxed. This is more of a transitional outfit from summer to fall.

Do you have any clothing item that you wear all the time?

Saturday Farmers Market

During the summer I always look forward to Saturday because that means one thing... The farmers market. Where I live the farmers market is a pretty big deal. It's a couple blocks long full of food, drinks and various things for sale. I normally go with my mom, and we get bags full of produce, but this time I went with one of my friends instead.

My favorite thing to do is people watch at the farmers market. Every type of person you can think could be seen at the farmers market.

One of the best things about my farmers market is that everything is actually local. You'll go to some markets and you can see the boxes of food brought in from other states, but at ours the farthest away you normally see things are like peaches which can't be grown here.

My farmers market always has the most interesting foods to try. This time I got a crepe that a local restaurant made. It was chocolate and strawberry and so good. You can also get food ranging from gluten-free cupcakes to egg rolls to fried Oreos.

The flowers are probably the prettiest thing about the farmers market. There are a lot of vendors that sell flowers. It seems like every single girl who goes there gets flowers and has to take a picture with them and post in on Instagram. I'm serious when I say it happens every Saturday.

hat // shirt // shorts // shoes // bag

This is my typical weekend outfit because it's bright and is really summery. It's also just super easy to put on.

What do you like to do on your weekends?

Door County

Door County has always been my favorite place to go in the summer. I have been going there since I was born. My grandparents have a house around Fish Creek so we stay there. One of the more interesting things every season is to see how many people are there. It is such a touristy place for people in the Midwest that it is packed in the summer, but in the winter no one can be found.

This is the town that I mainly shop and explore. This picture was taken in the spring which explains the lack of people and leaves. Fish Creek is funny in the way that when we come in the winter there is nothing open, but when we come in the summer people are all over with all sorts of new shops.

The sunsets here are the best part of the whole place. Every night from the deck you can see the sun setting over the lake. No two are ever the same but all of them are amazing.

In you haven't guessed I love food. Fish Creek has the most fun food. I get these doughnuts  from Singing Donuts. They are fun because you get to choose what icing and what topping you want to have. You can also pick from one of their signature flavors, like the one with Fruity Pebbles is the Scooby Doo donut. This is a newer place and I really hope it will be around for a while.

I'll be honest  when I say I have no idea what this ice cream place is called, but I think it is Dippy's Ice Cream. It's been around forever, but the ice cream is always good and given in really big portions.

This is the wall of the Door County Confectionery. The Door County Confectionery can be found in multiple places throughout the county. It has always been a great spot to go to if you want some sweets. My favorite food to get has always been the lemon drops.

This probably one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken in Door County. It was taken at Hide Side, which is a store in Fish Creek.

My grandparents live on a bluff, which is like a cliff. This means that we get fantastic views. In the summer we get to see all of the boats go by, and in the winter it's really neat to see how the snow forms patterns on the ice.

Going on a boat ride is one of the most relaxing things you can do. My family normally boats over to and island or a beach and we swim around for the afternoon. I would recommend doing this only in August or late July because the water is so cold that it is too cold for being in the water for a long period of time.

These last two pictures were taken at the docks. This is where my grandparents boat use to be stored, but now its in a different place. I just included these because they are always so pretty and a great place to relax.

Where is your favorite place to go?

September Favorites

All I can say is that August flew by. I feel like I never got a chance to settle down this summer. Now that it is September my mind instantly switches to thinking about fall clothes. Fall is probably my favorite season for fashion because it full of layers and warm colors. I'm also really excited for the school year because now I get to pick what I want to wear everyday instead of wearing a uniform to work everyday.  I am not sure if I want to by a lot this September because I did get a lot for back to school (see what I got in this post) and I don't really need anything right now, but that has never stopped me from wanting things in the past. So here are my top 5 things on my wishlist at the moment.

J.Crew factory striped boatneck tee: I love striped shirts, but the one thing I don't like is when the shirts have a equal amount of each color. I prefer my shirt to either be majority white with thin stripes of each color or to be primarily colored with thin stripes of white. That is why I like the J. Crew tees and the other version that I really like is from Old Navy. These are cut a little differently but I think that they are still just as cute.

I've been wanting some sort of a bootie for the last year and have been trying to find the perfect pair. That is the question mark because I would really love to find a pair that is leather, brown, and under $100. I really like this pair from Sam Edelman, but it is a little over my price range. If any of you guys know where I could find a shoe like this please link in down below in the comments.

This pair of Kendra Scott Elle earrings are something I really want. They would look perfect with my homecoming dress, which is this one from Nordstrom.  They  would also be great because I could wear them more than just once, which is what would happen if I got a big statement pair for the dress. I think that the pearl would be the best color to get it in, since I wear my pearl earrings all time and it would be another shape of pearl to wear.

A solid thinner belt is something so simple but I don't have it. I feel like if would be a nice change to have that along with the think woven belt I own. I really like this one from American Eagle because I can see it in store and it has a nice added touch with the gold accents, but I am still just looking around for the perfect one.

I have been eyeing the Kate Spade Cobble Hill Ellen bag almost all summer but I am not sure if I want to buy it. I am nervous that if I buy the bag and it is damaged that I won't be able to return it. If I got this bag it would be my only purchase this month, but that would be fine with me. I have seen it in store and it is so pretty and I think that I would get a lot of use out of it.

Have a great September!
